A new City
China is also set to build Egypt’s new city.
Egyptian investment and housing ministries finalised agreements with Shanghai-listed developer China Fortune Land Development, which would see the development of a new capital at the cost of $20 billion.
The new city would be home to the Egyptian government, which is trying to escape congestion in Cairo. It would also contain an upmarket residential district, an industrial zone, schools, a university and recreational centres.
China is also building Rwanda’s ‘vision city,‘ a real estate project that hope to deal with the housing problem in Kigali.
