Memphis rapper GloRilla is gearing up to hit the studio, after being personally selected by global icon Rihanna to create a theme song for the Savage X Fenty intimates line.

The announcement came during the recent launch of the brand’s Lavish Lace collection at Nordstrom, where Rihanna was asked who she believed could perfectly capture the essence of her brand. Without missing a beat, she named GloRilla.

The collaboration between the two stars has sparked excitement among fans, especially given the admiration both artists have expressed for one another in the past. GloRilla, known for her powerful lyrics and unapologetic style, has long cited Rihanna as a source of inspiration.

The rapper wasted no time acknowledging the honor and shared her excitement with her followers, leaving fans eager for what she’ll deliver next.

GloRilla releases debut album GLORIOUS

The news comes at a high point in GloRilla’s career, with the release of her debut album GLORIOUS just days ago. The album, which showcases the artist’s raw talent and southern roots, has drawn comparisons to Rihanna’s earlier work, with fans even pointing out similarities between GloRilla’s album cover and Rihanna’s debut Music of the Sun.

Social media has been buzzing with these comparisons, as some fans have even highlighted resemblances between the two in their photos and artistic styles. GloRilla, often called ‘twins’ with Rihanna, seems to be relishing the connection, further deepening her bond with the star.
