Alton Mason
Much noise has not been made about Alton Mason, but the 21-year-old African American beat several white models to be named the 2018 model of the year and runner up Male Model of the Year. According to polls by models.com, Alton was also named the male social media star model and best street style model of the year. With three awards to his name, it’s hard to believe he was discovered on Instagram and was quickly recruited to model in Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3.
2019 promises to be an even more exciting year for the young model who, before all the runways and magazine spreads, had worked as a dancer for Lil Kim and P Diddy. Alton is also the first black model to model for Gucci and to be the face of their first ever Black Campaign. He has also worked with Virgil Abloh.
