Jamie Foxx has officially resumed filming for his upcoming movie, “Back In Action,” marking his return to the set after a near-death health emergency nine months ago. The actor, known for his role in Django Unchained, was seen in Atlanta alongside co-star Cameron Diaz, preparing for scenes in the action-comedy.

Foxx, an Oscar winner, appeared casual in a long-sleeved black sweater and dark navy trousers, as reported by Daily Mail. He was also wearing black ankle socks and white sneakers, casually strolling with his hands in his pockets. The Mask actress joined him, dressed down in fitted black pants, a plain white shirt, and a tan-colored cardigan for a busy day of filming. Diaz was also seen wearing white sneakers with her flowing blonde locks down past her shoulders.

The Netflix movie, directed by Seth Gordon, features a cast including Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, and Kyle Chandler. The plot details of the project are mostly undisclosed, and there is no set release date yet.

“Jamie is indeed back on set and shooting through February,” a source close to Foxx told People. “He looks and feels fantastic.”

The source said a stunt double was being used to finish the movie but it didn’t come out right so Jamie is going to do all of the parts now.

“Jamie is super talented and loves his work. He will finish this film,” another source told the outlet.

During the filming of “Back In Action” in Georgia in April of the previous year, Foxx was hospitalized, a situation revealed by his daughter Corinne. While specific details of the actor’s medical issue have been kept private, Corinne provided an update on Foxx’s condition in May 2023 via her Instagram stories.

“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”

Foxx recently expressed gratitude on social media for the overwhelming support he received after a medical emergency on April 11. He thanked fans and followers, receiving an outpouring of love from both the public and fellow celebrities in the comments.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he typed out to his fans and followers.

In December, Foxx made his first public appearance since his health recovery, marking a positive step forward.
