Quarterback talent runs in the Vick family as Michael Vick’s daughter, Jada, has emerged as a football star. Jada received a scholarship to play flag football at Reinhardt University in Atlanta last year.

When asked about his daughter by TMZ Sports at LAX, the former NFL quarterback expressed immense pride and shared that he’s helping her improve her game even further.

The ex-Falcons signal-caller said he’s been coaching up the 19-year-old, “trying to instill as much as I can” — but he added she’s been figuring out how to sling the pigskin like Pops “all on her own.”

Jada has made a striking mark on the football field, recently appearing in an NFL commercial with Justin Jefferson and Quavo to promote the sport.

Vick, her proud father, shared that she performed well in her first season at Reinhardt University and, as a four-time Pro Bowler, he expects “bigger things” from her in the 2024-25 season.

Currently, there are 11 states where flag football is sanctioned as a girls varsity high school sport, The Virginian-Pilot reported, adding that women’s flag football scholarships are offered at 25 NAIA colleges.

During the second annual Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Girls on the Gridiron Flag Football clinic, Vic and his daughter were seen interacting with participants. There were about 75 girls at Sunday’s event at Norfolk State’s Dick Price Stadium, where Vick and Jada took turns throwing footballs to the girls.

“When I watch her throw, I just remember years and years of practice. Years of her wanting to be the best that she could be,” Vick said of his daughter as she interacted with the girls. “Years ago not knowing that girls flag football would be as big as it is right now. I could never foresee her getting a scholarship 10 years ago when she used to be in the backyard pretending to be DeSean Jackson because that was her favorite player. It’s a humbling experience and it’s really cool. It’s genuine, and every young lady here is putting forth the effort and having a good time and wanting to be pioneers for the game.”

Vick might soon expand his coaching role beyond just his daughter. In a conversation with TMZ Sports, the 44-year-old hinted at being open to joining Deion Sanders’ coaching staff at Colorado.

This potential new role would see Vick sharing his expertise with a broader group of players.
