Check your writing style
Writing a good scholarship essay is a very important factor in the decision-making process of the scholarship committee and hence you must check your writing style when applying. Writing styles are never the same across board. While some countries will allow for subjectivity, certain words and embellishments, in the US, objectivity, and essays that go straight to the point are the norm. Do not deviate from any essay topic given you and check your grammar and editing. Your essay must also come with a catchy introduction, points that are well-supported and a strong conclusion. Do this as early as possible and not at the last minute to enhance accuracy. The best thing is to have your American friends, that is, if you have any, to go through your essay as they will be able to tell you if they are getting what you are trying to communicate.
