The official residences of Africa’s heads of government goes by many names. In Nigeria, it is called the “presidential villa,” and in Liberia, it is called the “executive mansion.” However, whatever the name, those palaces have one thing in common: they are the seat of government in their respective countries.

In addition to serving as the official residence of a sitting president, presidential palaces double as an office complex and serve as a reception venue for other visiting heads of government.
