Jennifer Hudson had an unexpected courtside moment during Tuesday night’s Knicks-Warriors game. Sitting alongside her partner, Common, the singer and actress found herself in the action when a loose ball came her way.

Early in the second quarter, Knicks’ Miles McBride attempted a steal, but the ball deflected into the crowd, heading straight for Hudson, as reported by the New York Post.

The ball struck her in the face, knocking off her glasses before Common could swat it away.

To make matters worse, Knicks’ McBride accidentally ran into her while chasing the ball, which ultimately stayed in Golden State’s possession.

Lip readers later caught Hudson reacting with a simple “Wow” after the incident.

“I don’t think Miles McBride is going to be invited on the ‘Jennifer Hudson Show,’” TNT play-by-play man Ian Eagles joked before adding another jab, saying the incident was a “Common foul,” after it seemed the rapper might’ve — or at least came close to — clipping Hudson with an elbow in the failed attempt to save her.

Hudson and Common have become regulars at NBA games, frequently attending together over the past few years.

They were also spotted courtside during the Knicks’ playoff series against the Pacers.
