Actor, singer and comedian Jamie Foxx has shut down rumors suggesting rapper and podcaster Swayvo Twain is his illegitimate son.
The speculation arose due to their striking resemblance, but in an Instagram video, Foxx, 57, clarified their actual relationship.
“This is my nephew, not my son,” Foxx stated, expressing disbelief at how quickly misinformation spreads online. He noted how social media often creates its own narratives.
Twain also laughed off the rumors, affirming that he is Foxx’s nephew and urging people to stop making baseless assumptions.

Despite the buzz, Twain has been focused on building his own career in the music and podcasting space.
The video also refutes a claim made in January 2025 by a man who alleged that he was Foxx’s son and that the actor had neglected him, having not seen him for about three years.
Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx, whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, has two daughters—Corinne Foxx and Anelise Bishop. While he values his privacy, he has never hesitated to showcase his children.

Now back in action, Foxx recently starred alongside Cameron Diaz in Back in Action. His comedy special, Jamie Foxx: What Happened Was…, also won Outstanding Variety Show (Series or Special) at the NAACP Image Awards.
Celebrating the win, Foxx wrote on Instagram: “Super big thanks to @naacpimageawards. My special was so personal and meant so much to me, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for the recognition… And if you’re a Luther Vandross fan, make sure to check out the documentary we did on his life.
