Authorities in Guinea have granted citizenship to Jonathan Majors and his wife Meagan Good after DNA tests linked their ancestry to the West African nation.
Per BBC, Majors, 36, and Good, 44, were given their Guinean passports at a small event that was held in the West African nation on Friday. Djiba Diakité, minister and chief of staff of the presidency, handed the passports to the American couple on the blessing of President Mamadi Doumbouya.
“We both believe that you are among the worthy sons and daughters of Guinea to represent our country and the red and green flag throughout the world,” Diakité said.
Majors also said that him and his wife being granted Guinean citizenship would “bridg[e] the gap” and link their stories as actors and disporans.
“We just want to say thank you so much,” Good also said.

The couple additionally told BBC that they “could absolutely see ourselves having a home here and spending meaningful time in Guinea.
“This is not a fleeting connection – it’s something we see as long-term and evolving.”
Last year, Face2Face Africa reported that Majors and Good had secretly tied the knot. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the actors exchanged their vows in a small, private ceremony that was officiated by Majors’ mother.
The couple’s wedding is said to have taken place at their home in Los Angeles, and Goods’ mother was the sole witness.
Majors and Good started dating in May 2023. In November 2024, the couple announced they were officially engaged at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles.
Good flaunted her engagement ring on the red carpet as she and Majors posed for photos. “[The] Ebony Power 100 is the event that we met at in the bathrooms, in the unisex bathroom,” Good told E! News about their decision to announce their engagement at the event.
The couple announced their engagement after Goods’ representative debunked rumors about a breakup between the actress and her beau.
