Chicago Bears star Jonathan Owens says he is full of praise for his wife, Simone Biles, for being right there with him throughout the NFL season.
Owens made these remarks prior to the high-stakes wild-card matchup against the Green Bay Packers. To him, having a woman like Biles right next to him is enough motivation in his career.
Simone Biles is one of the most decorated gymnasts of all time, an 11-time Olympic medalist and has been a familiar presence at Bears games throughout the sporting year.

Biles stepped into a more official role briefly during Chicago’s Week 17 away trip to San Francisco, was credentialed as a sideline photographer, and Owens says her playoff role will be much simpler.
“She’ll be on the field pregame,” said Owens to the Chicago Tribune, before he added that she’ll be watching from the stands during Saturday’s game. “Nah, she’ll just be a spectator for this game.”
This does not mean her support holds no meaning. Owens candidly stated that having his wife at every game has motivated him so much during one of the most memorable seasons of his career.
“She’s been at every game, which I love my wife for that, man,” Owens said. “She’s making big sacrifices.”
Back in April 2023, Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles tied the knot, and it came with a larger ceremony in May.
Since then, Owens’ NFL journey has continued to evolve. Following a season with the Packers, he signed with the Bears in March 2024 and has since stayed in Chicago for the past two seasons.
The NFL star looked back on the ups and downs that have shaped who he is today and referenced previous stops with the Cardinals and Texans.
“It’s been a roller coaster of a career, wins-wise,” he said. “So just realizing how special this season is… it doesn’t happen often.”
Asked about standout moments from the year, Owens hinted at the season opener, when he stopped Vikings tight end Josh Oliver short on a failed two-point conversion. “That was a pretty cool moment,” he said, noting how his teammates rallied around him afterward.
He revealed that another of his top memories came away from home in Las Vegas, when Josh Blackwell’s blocked field goal secured a Bears win. “My wife was there… just jumping up and down,” Owens recalled. “To pull out a game like that, it just propels us to where we are now.”
