Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Jordan Chiles has set her sights on a post-gymnastics career in real estate, stating that she dreams of appearing on the hit reality series ‘Selling Sunset’.
The 23-year-old helped Team USA secure gold in the women’s gymnastics team all-around at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and shared her aspirations with the New York Post at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit 2024 in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
“I do want to go into real estate,” Chiles said. “That is something that I do want to do. I’ve done so much on the business side with my mom and everything she’s done in business. So I’m just kind of exploring my options and seeing what else I can put in. I feel like not everybody has to be stuck in one area of their life and that they can be creative all over.”
Chiles has seen every season of Selling Sunset and expressed her excitement at the thought of joining the Oppenheim Group stars on the show.
“If I was on Selling Sunset, I literally would cry because those people, I love them so much,” she said. “They definitely have different personalities, but I don’t know. If they want me as a guest, I will be a guest.”
Jordan Chiles was asked about potentially becoming a full-time cast member once she earns her real estate license, but she left a little bit of doubt around that one. “We’ll see. We’ll see. I don’t know yet,” she said.
Chiles also touched on the custom bronze clock necklace she received from hip-hop icon Flavor Flav at the 2024 MTV VMAs, and described the moment as “amazing.”
“The bronze clock is in this theater room [at my home] in Texas, and we have two trophy cases that are on the outskirts of the door. So it’s in one of the trophy cases,” she said, noting it’s displayed alongside her world and Olympic medals. “It’s very valued.”
Flav was a staunch supporter of Team USA at the Summer Games, and gifted her the clock after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) controversially stripped Chiles of the bronze medal she won for the floor exercise event.
The CAS ruled that a judging inquiry, which improved her score by one-tenth of a point and moved her from fifth to third place, was not valid because it was filed four seconds after the deadline.
The ruling had Chiles down in fifth place, and the medal dispute is ongoing.
Jordan Chiles reunited with Flav last month in Atlanta during Black Entrepreneurs Day and said, “I was just in my room, and Flav was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re here. I didn’t know you were coming to this,’” she said. “So we had the opportunity to see each other again.”

Chiles added that the moment she received the clock remains unforgettable. “I was honestly just very happy that I was in the presence of Flavor Flav. It was definitely really cool.”
