Shannon Sharpe scored big with his explosive three-hour interview with comedian Katt Williams on his popular YouTube series “Club Shay Shay.”

As of Sunday, January 28, 2024, the interview, which was uploaded on January 3, had garnered over 55 million views.

The interview has become a hit mainly due to Williams’ criticisms of some of his colleagues. Notably, he took jabs at Steve Harvey, Ludacris, Cedric The Entertainer, and others.

How much has Katt Williams’ explosive interview fetched?

With the success of the interview, there was always going to be an interest in the financial side of the many views.

According to reports, YouTube pays $10 to $12 per thousand views to creatos like Sharpe after taking its share of ad revenue. This means Sharpe has already earned an estimated $660,000 and counting from the main interview video alone.

Additionally, the interview was split into 37 separate monetized clips, several of which have hundredss of thousands to millions of views. The first 35 minutes featuring Williams’ fiery critiques of other comedians has nearly eight million views. Sharpe will net $90,000-100,000 simply from that clip.

Katts Williams’ interview can easily fetch $1m

In total, it is expected the interview will bring in over $1 million for Sharpe once all the clips are accounted for. This far exceeds the typical earnings for most YouTubers.

Sharpe’s second-most viewed “Club Shay Shay” is an interview with Steve Harvey . It sits at just 10 million views.

Kevin Hart slams Katt Williams over Club Shay Shay interview

Meanwhile, Kevin Hart has blasted his fellow comedian Katt Williams for his controversial utterances on Club Shay Shay.

Williams, in an interview on Club Shay Shay, criticized several black comedians, including Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey and Chris Tucker.

But in a series of tweets, Hart accused Williams of being angry, bitter, and jealous of the success of others. He also urged him to focus on his own career and stop blaming Hollywood for his problems.
