During Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian got emotional when she opened up about her ex-husband, Kanye West, and other people accusing her of faking her Paris robbery.
The robbery occurred when Kardashian, 45, traveled to France in 2016 to attend the Paris Fashion Week. The billionaire socialite and businesswoman was alone in her hotel room on October 6, 2016, when she said a group of armed men in police uniforms and masks forced their way inside. The armed robbers tied her up and reportedly stole jewelry worth about $10 million.
Authorities later brought charges against 10 suspects in connection with the robbery, US Weekly reported. In May 2025, Kardashian traveled to Paris to testify during the trial.
Kardashian, on Thursday’s episode of the show, touched on how the likes of her ex-husband, Kanye West, and media personality Howard Stern accused her of orchestrating the heist. The 45-year-old stated that her ex-husband’s actions took an emotional toll on her.
Kardashian and Kanye, 48, tied the knot in 2014 before divorcing in 2021, meaning that the robbery happened while they were husband and wife. The former couple share two daughters and two sons.
“Even my ex-husband had said, ‘You’ve faked your robbery for a TV show.’ And he had said that in front of all these people,” Kardashian said in a supposed reference to Kanye, US Weekly reported.
“That was a knife to my heart. Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you that is so close to you, that should know you and that should know how much that affected your life.”
She added: “It just really bothered me. Like, ‘You don’t know who I am?’ So to finally be able to go to trial, face these people and hear their accounts and apologies … I’m like, ‘Guys, it was real, you know?’ I am happy it is over.”
Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, also weighed in on that speculation, saying that the “narrative that my daughter would make something like this up was ludicrous.” “It was just unfathomable that somebody could have said something like that,” she added.
Her sister, Khloé, stated in a confessional that Kardashian “felt hurt so many people didn’t believe her.” Khloé also said that she “definitely” remembered “people even in the vicinity near us — questioning if this really happened and that was really gross.”
