Retired basketball star Lamar Odom raised eyebrows last year when he revealed he had purchased a sex doll in the likeness of his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian.

And though Khloé has been largely mum about that topic, she recently opened up about it and registered her displeasure with Odom, describing her ex-husband’s actions as “gross.” Per US Weekly, the 40-year-old media personality and socialite touched on Odom’s decision to purchase a sex doll in her likeness during the Thursday, April 10, episode of The Kardashians.

The topic in question popped up when Khloé revealed she was still receiving private social media messages from Odom, stating that the former Los Angeles Lakers star was sending her “the strangest f***ing videos.” Her mother Kris then responded on a lighter note, saying that the videos that Odom, 45, was sending involved the sex doll of her.

“Can you believe that? I found out about his blow-up doll the same way we all did. It was on the internet. Not sure why that is something we are publicly talking about,” Khloé stated. She also described Odom’s actions as “so demonic and unwell.”

Kris, in a confessional, however, implied Odom was free to go in for anything that would make him happy. “I think one of my New Year’s resolutions is going to be kinder and not so judgmental,” Kris, 69, stated. “So Lamar, if a blow-up doll is going to make you happy then you go get it.”

But Khloé made it clear she wasn’t buying that. “It is not a f***ing support doll,” she emphasized. “I am supposed to be flattered by this? It is more like this validates how different we are and how much we have grown apart. It is creepy and weird but I am not hurt by it. It is more his journey. It is just weird and gross.”

Khloé and Lamar tied the knot in 2009 after dating for just a month. She ultimately filed for divorce in 2016 after separating in 2013. “Lamar was and is definitely someone that I felt was the love of my life,” she said in a February episode of her Hulu show, per US Weekly.

“I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day we met, I loved him with all of my heart and soul. I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years. But there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage. So the last time I saw him was in 2016.”

Odom on the show also showed remorse over his actions and apologized to his ex-wife. “I put you through a lot,” he said. “I f***** up with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me. That love will never go away, I know it won’t.”

But during a November 2024 appearance on the We’re Out of Time podcast, Odom touched on why he went in for a sex doll in the likeness of his ex-wife. “When you’re really thinking about it, [it’s] like a doll,” he stated.

“But then you think about like, mental health, and how important that is, not just in today’s time, but just from the beginning of time. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health,” he explained.

“It’s sick, but I think we’re all a little off, a little weird,” Odom continued. “They’re gonna make it to look like her. I need like, a harem.”
