Local Charity Hosts Holiday Fundraiser to Benefit Orphans in Ghana

by Sandra Appiah, 12:00am September 29, 2011,

Newark, NJ~ On October 7, 2011, Join Raising HOPE-Hopeful Orphans Pursuing Excellence for a special fundraiser: Christmas in October! A Pre-Holiday Soiree for God’s Children’s Home.

Christmas in October is an event that will give people a unique opportunity to support 30+ orphans and less fortunate children in the village of Dodowa, Ghana.

Raising HOPE has joined forces with the North Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to prepare holiday gift packages containing toys and clothing for the children at God’s Children’s Home.

Christmas in October will enable Raising HOPE to raise funds for the shipment of these packages to the children in Ghana, as well as donate towards the building fund for the orphans.

With the purchase of one ticket, attendees may enjoy live performances from local and international artists, and will have access to a complimentary buffet! The soiree will also include a special raffle of designer pieces, as well as complimentary gift bags for the first 50 people to purchase tickets online! Come mix, mingle, eat and be merry all while donating to a great cause!
