Joshua Jackson, 45, and Lupita Nyong’o, 40, are seemingly confirming rumors of a romance after the two were recently seen together on an errand run in Los Angeles. The actor and Oscar winner, who were previously photographed at a concert in October, appeared relaxed as they shopped at Erewhon.
Jackson and Nyong’o, who have recently gone through splits from Jodie Turner-Smith and Selema Masekela, respectively, were casually dressed, with Jackson in a white tee and jeans, and Nyong’o in a floral top, black trousers, and a khaki baseball cap.
Jackson and Nyong’o were spotted chatting in a car, accompanied by Nyong’o’s rescue cat YoYo, before heading out together.
Their outing in October occurred a day before Nyong’o officially announced her split from Masekela and a month after Jackson’s separation from Turner-Smith, with whom he shares a three-year-old daughter named Juno, as reported by Daily Mail.
The Black Panther star recently took to Instagram to open up about a “break-up” and express her experience of being in a “season of heartbreak” due to “deception” from an unnamed individual.
She wrote: “There are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering.
“At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust…
“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.
“I am tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have regained my strength enough for me to say, “Whatever, my life is better this way.”
Nyong’o also recounted the profound pain she’s experiencing as a reflection of her capacity for love. Drawing on the idea that a tender heart leads to fearlessness, she expressed the hope her experience can resonate with others grappling with heartbreak.
Jackson had been married to Turner-Smith since 2019. She filed for divorce in October, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple, parents to three-year-old Juno Rose Diana, recently agreed to joint custody, with both parties acknowledging the irreconcilable differences in legal documents.
