Bismack was born in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, on August 28, 1992, and began his career at age 16 in DR. Congo, where he played for Lupopo in the 2018 Africa Clubs Championship Cup. He moved to Spain, where he played for several clubs and was drafted 7th overall by Sacramento Kings in the 2011 NBA draft.

He has played for several clubs, including Fuenlabrada-Getafe, CB IIIescas, Baloncesto Feunlabrada, Charlotte Hornets (2011 – 2015), Toronto Raptors (2015 – 2016), Orlando Magic (2016 – 2018), Charlotte Hornets (2018 – 2021), and Phoenix Suns (2022 – present). Bismack has played about 15,343.3 minutes in 738 games, starting in 310 games in the 2011/12 to 2022/23 seasons. He will earn a basic salary of about $2,905,851 in the 2022/23 season.
