Bruno Afonso David Fernandez (Angola)

Bruno Fernandez, also known as Bruno Fernando, is an Angolan professional basketball player born on August 15, 1998, in Luanda, Angola. He began his career in Luanda and played in the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship for the Angolan national team. He later joined Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, declared for the 2019 NBA draft, and was the 34th pick by the Philadelphia 76ers, making him the first Angolan to be selected in the draft.

He played for several clubs, beginning with Atlanta Hawks, Bolton Celtics, and Houston Rockets; he then returned to Atlanta Hawks. He played for Angola in the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, the 2016 FIBA Africa Under-18 Championship, the 2018 Olympics qualifiers, and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Bruno has played about 1,455.3 minutes in 150 games, and started in 17 games in the 2019/20 to 2022/23 seasons.
