Issam

Issam is one of the most popular trap musicians in Morocco. This 27-year-old raps in Moroccan Arabic. He taught himself to mix and record his won music from home, using the mic from his headphones.

He blends different cultures and his music resonates with the average Joe on the street. “His greatest hit ‘Trap Beldi’ meaning “traditional Moroccan trap”, is a wry contradiction of terms (tradition is old, trap is new) that defines the star.
