Nova Leanna Davidson, a promising gymnast, is making headlines with her impressive performances. The 5-year-old, known on social media as Miss Nova Girl, has a large online presence and following, and she often shares videos of herself practicing her routines.
Already a Level 3 gymnast, the young prodigy is aiming to make her Olympic debut in about a decade, designing her routine inspired by Team USA. According to BOTWC, Nova offered her fans a glimpse of her balancing beam technique as she prepared with a little strut while wearing a Team USA leotard.
Simone Biles, Olympian Jordan Chiles, LSU champion Haleigh Bryant, and others are among the well-known gymnasts she has met and greatly admires. Nova’s video of her Team USA routine received hundreds of comments and millions of likes from admirers, including Biles herself, who praised her form, stating “The little strut…get it girl.”
According to Essentially Sports, Nova and her idol Biles met in the Simone Biles Invitational in 2023. Her mother Tiffany Davidson recounted, “I pep-talked her before she went in, but she was still so nervous and definitely starstruck, lol. She forgot her age.”
However, the seven-time Olympic medalist put her at ease by greeting her with excitement and was ecstatic after learning Nova was the little girl who had previously gone viral after posing the question “Does Simone Biles fart?”
Madame Noire also reports that the young gymnast flexed her impressive gymnastic skills during her first meet in January where she won first place. A video of the event which her mother shared on social media garnered over 90,000 views on Facebook and over 21,000 likes on Instagram.
Nova continues to receive love from her family and netizens who have spotted her potential and are encouraging her dream.
