Meghan Markle breaks silence on launch of new website amid claims the palace wasn’t consulted

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has commended the “talented team” behind the launch of her new website, amid claims that palace officials were not consulted beforehand. The decision by Meghan and Prince Harry to relaunch their Archewell website as has stirred controversy, with suggestions that they are attempting to assert a more royal image.

Critics argue that the move blurs the lines between their past and present roles, especially since they were advised to relinquish their “Sussex” title in 2020 upon stepping back from royal duties. The website, created by Canadian agency Article, has been described as making “no sense” by royal insiders, according to Daily Mail.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, expressed her gratitude for Article, the company behind the creation of her new website. In a testimonial posted on Article’s website, Meghan praised the company for its “thoughtful approach to design” and attention to detail, creativity, and care. She stated their ability to collaborate and elevate ideas into visual identities.

Article has a notable portfolio including websites for the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, and Meghan’s former lifestyle blog, The Tig. They’ve also worked with clients such as the NBA, Lauryn Hill, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Harry’s environmental tourism initiative, Travalyst.

Prince Harry was recently spotted in Canada alongside Meghan as they attended countdown events for the next Invictus Games. The couple arrived in Vancouver via private jet for a three-day visit connected to the 2025 event, with Harry seen at Vancouver International Airport wearing a green coat and blue jeans after arriving on a Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft.
