Tyler Perry has included Meghan Markle in his list of celebrated figures, along with Beyonce, Oprah, and Maya Angelou, in the project honoring Black women.
Markle was featured in a heartfelt tribute which had photos of historical icons like Nina Simone as well as former Vice President Kamala Harris.
In other snaps, regular women at work or simply in their communities were seen, as well as them being at rallies and political protests.
Tyler took to Instagram to share the promotional video for a new song ‘BLKWMN’ – which came with black and white photos.
The new upcoming song was written by singer Ledisi and producer Jocmusiq.
The track is set to be released on February 21, and comes in with a smooth melody beginning with the lyrics: ‘Black hue, born from a golden hour…’
The video element of the song was reportedly filmed by Tyler Perry and Kvle Johnson and is expected to be widely approved by many.
