New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers has been acquitted of all charges in his domestic violence case.
The NFL star had been on trial this week and was facing allegations of strangling and pushing his girlfriend during an argument on October 5.
A jury found Peppers not guilty after deliberating for about an hour. The charges arose from claims by the woman that Peppers pushed her head into a wall and choked her after he realized a man called her phone while the two were at his Massachusetts home following a night out.

During her testimony on Thursday, she shed tears and said she had been hurt during the incident.
However, Peppers took the stand on Friday and denied the allegations.
In his testimony, he reportedly revealed that the argument began when he refused to have unprotected sex with her, and it led him to ask her to leave.
Jabrill Peppers claimed she chose not to leave and instead hit him. He also stated that he never physically assaulted her.
The jury’s verdict will now allow Peppers to focus fully on his playing career, though the last months have affected him in many ways.
Before the trial, he pleaded guilty to a cocaine possession charge after authorities found a powdery substance in his wallet during the arrest related to the incident.
He was ordered to remain drug-free and stay out of trouble for the next four months.
Peppers was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list and missed games this season due to the arrest. He featured in only six games for New England this year.
Jabrill Peppers has now been acquitted of his charges and he’s sure to take his playing form a day at a time.
