Sharm El Sheikh
Sharm El Sheikh also referred to as the city of peace, is a town located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula; on the coastal area along the Red Sea.
One unique feature about Sharm is that the interior is comprised of mountains.
Another interesting tidbit is in 1956, Sharm was captured by Israel only to be taken back by Egypt the following year.
What used to be a haven for fisherman has now created an opportunity for leisure and scientific research – it houses 250 different coral reefs and 1000 species of fish.
