The media is notoriously known for perpetuating discriminatory ideals towards African-Americans. Still, there are some influential figures who are able to rise above the less-than-pleasing notions associated with Blacks and are able to become innovators in their respective fields.
The Caribbean is not widely covered in mainstream mass media but is, of course, an integral part of the African diaspora. African culture permeates all corners of the world and it’s time that we recognize that and our power to change our history.
