Robert Mugabe – Zimbabwe
Robert Mugabe is one of the most popular presidents from Africa; he is also known as Africa’s most educated president. With many propaganda and controversies to his name, the former president of Zimbabwe finally stepped down as president in November of 2017. Mugabe was president of Zimbabwe for thirty years from 1987 to 2017. But before becoming a radical and long-serving president, he lived a life striving for success and teaching in between. Mugabe was born to a runaway poor carpenter father and a catechist mother. After doing well in school, Mugabe took up teaching to support his family. He taught in his village until he gained a scholarship to further his education in South Africa. After his degree, he moved to Ghana to pursue another degree and taught in a high school until he returned to Zimbabwe in 1960 to begin an unforeseen political career.
