R&B singer Mark Morrison was arrested in Florida and handed a battery charge after allegedly shoving the general manager of a lavish restaurant.
A police report obtained by TMZ shows the “Return of the Mack” singer storming into Le Bar à Vin in Palm Beach on Saturday evening, yelling and cursing at the venue’s general manager who seemed to be patient with Morrison’s outburst.
Reports indicate that Morrison was displeased over an event he began planning with the venue on Friday.
Police revealed that witnesses said the exchange between the two exacerbated to the point Morrison allegedly pushed the manager in his upper body.
The restaurant manager, Nicola Lavacca, however, did not fight back.
According to the police report, a witness jumped in and separated the two, asking Morrison to step outside for a short while.
Police then shortly arrived and arrested Morrison on a charge of simple battery.
In a photo shared by TMZ, Morrison was captured cuffed with his hands behind his back, donning a black shirt, khaki shorts and some bright yellow sneakers.
The singer later posed for a mugshot in a blue jumpsuit and judging by his expression, he did not appear quite pleased.
Mark Morrison was released on Sunday morning after posting a $1,000 bond after his arrest.
