South African province of Mpumalanga was hit by a rare hailstorm on Sunday night which destroyed roofs of building and cars in several towns.
The hailstorm fell in several towns and areas in the province including Mbombela, Kanyamazane, Ntokozweni, Tekwane South, Skukuza and the southern part of the Kruger National Park.
According to reports, the hail was the size of tennis balls and they disrupted electricity supplies in many areas.
Photographs shared online show the windscreen of cars shattered, roofs dented and a lot of property damaged. City authorities say they are assessing the damages.
