Memphis police believe that the shooting involving rapper Sauce Walka was a targeted attack. During a late-night press conference on Saturday, authorities revealed that CSI investigators determined Sauce and another individual were specifically sought out by the gunmen.
Sauce and the other victim were outside a vehicle when multiple suspects arrived and opened fire without any prior interaction, according to law enforcement.

The attackers fled in a four-door white vehicle from the downtown area, as reported by TMZ.
Police have ruled out the possibility of a random act, stating that the shooting was a targeted attack on Sauce and the other victim.
Sauce was shot in the leg and is currently hospitalized but is expected to make a full recovery.
However, another man who was with him succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
