See how black celebrities ruled the 2019 Met Gala

The annual MET Gala came to life on May 6, 2019, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, United States where A-list stars strutted the MET GALA carpets in some of the worlds best and newest designers, taking inspiration from the theme of the year.

This year’s theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, inspired by the French term,se camper, meaning “to pose in an exaggerated fashion”. This allowed celebrities and designers to express themselves through fashion in the artsiest and most elaborate way as possible.

This year, the MET GALA, which is strictly by invitation, was hosted by British fashion royal Anna Wintour, Serena Williams, Harry Styles and Lady Gaga.

The annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City witnessed its most interesting showcase of fashion on its pink carpet and, of course, black celebrities served a lot of great looks.

From Zendaya’s magic Cinderella dress, Cardi B’s red gown to Serena Williams’ gown and Nike footwear, here are all the black celebrities who showed up for the MET GALA.
