Expectant couple Jacquees and Deiondra Sanders had another thing to be elated about during their baby shower over the weekend as the R&B singer popped the question. Deiondra, who is the daughter of retired NFL legend and Colorado Buffalo head coach Deion Sanders, ecstatically said yes.

Per TMZ, the couple was joined by family and friends for their lavish baby shower, and a video the B.E.D. singer shared on Instagram showed him getting on one knee to propose with a huge diamond ring.

Jacquees, 30, also made the proposal extra special as he wrote his fiancée a 4-page proposal letter. The singer also shared the letter on Instagram after the successful proposal.

“I thank God for you honestly,” the 30-year-old wrote. “I always wanted to be the man of a woman’s dreams the way that you see me. I know I can be. I know I am. Our baby boy is going to be so blessed babe!”

“I wanna seal the deal, will you marry me?” he also wrote in the letter. Jacquees and Deiondra became romantically involved in 2023 and announced they were expecting in March, per TMZ. Deiondra’s famous father Deion also welcomed the couple’s pregnancy announcement, saying he’s a happy “young” grandfather.

“Love u baby,” he said, “and I’m glad u said u ain’t having a baby to keep a man. You’ve always had a M.A.N. in your life that u call DADDY & ain’t gon ever ever let u DOWN especially when I’m UP.”

Congrats!!!

Deiondra’s father Deion had a notable sports career, playing 14 seasons in the NFL and nine seasons in Major League Baseball before transitioning to coaching. He was a multisport star in high school before earning a scholarship to Florida State University, where he was a member of the school’s football, baseball, and track teams. He became considered the only person to have played in both a Super Bowl and a World Series.

At the peak of his professional career, Deion was one of the highest-earning athletes in the world, taking home around $10-15 million per year in the late 1990s between endorsements and contracts from baseball and NFL teams.
