Round Zulu Traditional Houses – South Africa

The houses are made of mud, mudbricks, tree poles and grass and very similar to the Eskimo housing architecture in the north pole. Made out of thatch, the roof is sewn to the wooden braces and look very beautiful. According to culture, the house is built before a man got married with the help of his wife-to-be. The making of the house can take one to two months to make. Because of its beauty, the houses need no decoration and is shown off by the way its surrounding is kept neat and the roof cleaned.
