Snoop Dogg, the iconic rapper and cannabis enthusiast, has sparked outrage after he shared a video of himself smoking weed with his granddaughters in the studio.

The 51-year-old hip-hop star posted the clip on his Instagram account on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, showing him puffing on a blunt while his two young granddaughters, Cori and Cordell, sat next to him on a couch.

The video, which was captioned “granddaughters”, received thousands of views and comments, many of them expressing shock and disappointment at Snoop’s behavior.

Some fans defended Snoop, saying that he was just having fun and that weed was harmless and legal in California, where he lives.

However, others pointed out that secondhand smoke from marijuana could still have negative effects on children’s health and development, and that Snoop was setting a bad example for his family and fans.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., has been a vocal advocate for marijuana legalization and consumption for decades. He has claimed to smoke up to 80 blunts a day and has collaborated with various cannabis brands and products.

But in January, he announced that he was quitting smoking for good, citing health reasons and personal growth. He even posted a video of himself throwing away his stash of weed and paraphernalia.

But it turned out that his announcement was a hoax, as he later revealed that he was only promoting a new line of fire pits.

The two released an elegant teaser for their newest alcoholic beverage, “Gin & Juice,” over the weekend. In it, they play two gangsters who are similar to Vincent and Jules from Quentin Tarantino’s well-known 1994 movie Pulp Fiction.

The duo’s shared Twitter account revealed a sneak peek of the Gin & Juice, which will come in four flavors, apricot, citrus, melon, and passion fruit.
