Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny showed some love to several senior citizens in Atlanta when they hosted them for a Thanksgiving dinner at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church on Tuesday.

According to TMZ, the power provided thousands of turkey dinners. And besides serving some of those meals, the couple also made sure their guests were entertained.

Country music star Blanco Brown and Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders also provided some entertainment as he performed his hit song, The Git Up

“My family and I are deeply honored to give back this Holiday Season by providing complete Thanksgiving meals to over 1,200 seniors and serving 300 meals for them today,—the generation that paved the way for us all. This is just a small gesture of our appreciation for their legacy and sacrifice,” T.I. said.

T.I. and Tiny are well-known for their philanthropic and business endeavors in their community. The Live Your Life rapper and Killer Mike recently teamed up to re-open a historic seafood restaurant in northwest Atlanta, Face2Face Africa reported.

The restaurant was first opened in 1968 on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway before it was closed in 2018. The rappers had planned to rebuild the restaurant in 2020 but COVID-19 derailed their plans although they purchased the property in 2018.

T.I. is also big on affordable housing, and like many of his contemporaries, he previously announced that he was spearheading a real estate community in Atlanta as a way of giving back to his community.

The affordable housing project is located near the city’s west side Bankhead Highway where the rapper grew up. He bought property near Atlanta’s Bankhead Highway in 2019 and later sold it to Missouri developer Vecino Group. The rapper is now collaborating with the developer to construct affordable housing units on the land.
