In what can be described as a romance plot twist, Page Six on Tuesday reported that Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, the ex-spouses of television personalities T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, are now dating.
This recent report comes after Holmes and Robach lost their jobs as GMA3 co-anchors after pictures published in a November 2022 article from the Daily Mail showed them holding hands and hanging out. The pictures triggered infidelity speculations between the pair, though they said that wasn’t the case.
Per Page Six, Fiebig and Shue, on the other hand, started dating about six months ago after they established a connection over their painful experience from the cheating allegations leveled against their former spouses.
“It turned into something else, and they’re connected over their values. It’s bigger than the affair now,” a source said. The news outlet also reported that Fiebig and Shue have since “moved on” and are no longer negatively impacted by what happened.
“They’re not heartbroken and sad,” a source said. “Everyone has moved on.”
This report also comes in the wake of Holmes and Robach opening up about the controversies surrounding their romance and axing from GMA3. According to NBC News, Holmes on the first episode of their Amy and T.J. Podcast on Tuesday said a lot had been said about them, while Robach said she was nervous opening up about their story.
“Because we haven’t spoken. We haven’t said anything, and other people have had our story; they’ve told our narrative,” Robach, 50, said. “And I shouldn’t say ‘our’; they told a narrative. It isn’t our narrative. This is the first time that we actually get to say what happened and where we are today.”
Holmes also said they weren’t cheating on their partners when those pictures were published. “To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship,” Holmes, 46, said. “But everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers, being outed as cheating on our spouses, and it wasn’t the case.”
Robach said she and Shue went their separate ways in the summer of 2022. “Everyone in my tight circle knew I was getting divorced,” the 50-year-old said. “I took my ring off [in] early August. It was very clear to anyone who knew me that I was in the middle of a divorce.”
Holmes, on the other hand, said he did not initially inform anyone that he and his ex-wife Fiebig had parted ways. He, however, said he would have done things differently in hindsight, NBC News reported.
“We shouldn’t have allowed, and I could say that in hindsight, for folks to find out about our relationship before they found out about our divorces,” he said.
