Lionheart
In this film, renown Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji is making her directorial debut. Nnaji stars as Adaeze Obiagu, the daughter of a transport mogul who becomes sick and leaves the business to his daughter under the supervision of an eccentric uncle. Things start to unravel when it is discovered that the company is in debt and at risk of acquisition by a ruthless competitor. It is therefore up to Obiagu to get the company back to its feet.
The film brings together some of Nigeria’s biggest names including Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh and Kanayo O. Kanayo.
Lionheart made the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Discovery Section list.
