Ghana’s blood delivery system
In 2018, Ghana announced plans to institute a drone delivery programme with the help of an American start-up to deliver blood across the West African to those in need.
In 2019, the service was started to moderate success after Rwanda became the first on this path.
The service co-ordinates affairs between over 2,000 health facilities and drones are thought to make about 600 trips every day.
