Just a year after telling the whole world that she was happily retired, legendary singer Tina Turner has had a change of heart and is back with a remix of her classic hit, “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”
The 80-year-old soul and Rock and Roll legend worked with Norwegian producer DJ Kygo on a remix of the song, which was first released in 1984.
Kygo announced the news on Instagram, revealing that the song will be available on Friday. He disclosed this with a picture of himself with the music icon, Turner, who looked amazing.
“Can’t believe I’m releasing a collab with @LoveTinaTurner this Friday! ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ is one of my all time favorite songs,” Kygo, 28, wrote. “It feels surreal to get the opportunity to work with such a legendary artist. Can’t wait for you all to hear it.”

Kygo made history last year when his remix of Whitney Houston’s cover of “Higher Love,” gave the late singer her first posthumous hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Kygo is expected to work wonders with his new musical collaboration with Turner.
Turner, who last officially toured in 2009, was born as Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939. She rose to fame as a backup singer in Ike Turner’s King of Rhythm band in 1958. She later became one half of the prestigious duo, the Ike & Tina Turner Revue.
Her illustrious career includes record sales surpassing 200 million, earning 12 Grammy’s and receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she also holds the Guinness World Record for selling more concert tickets than any other solo performer in history.
