The story of one of the most influential monarchs of the Zulu Kingdom was made into a series in 1986. The series, which consists of 10 50-minute episodes, became a huge classic all over Africa. It focuses on the Shaka Zulu, who ruled from 1816 to 1828 and the writings of the British traders who interacted with him.
The movie has been redone many times over.
