Trinidad Tobago
An estimated 11,000 people were living with HIV/Aids in Trinidad and Tobago. Of the 11,000, 6700 are on treatment. Less than 500 people in the country died of HIV-related complications.
Trinidad and Tobago also posted less than 500 new infections as of 2016. However, some of the challenges affecting HIV treatment are fear, denial, ignorance, stigma and discrimination.
