2. University of Ghana – Legon, Ghana
The oldest university on our list, the University of Ghana was founded in 1948 and was originally an affiliate college of the University of London. The school is located just 12 kilometers from the capital city of Accra.
Of all the schools on this list, University of Ghana’s architecture truly stands out. The beaming white walls and red roof tops of the library, a central fixture of the campus, are a beautiful contrast to the green shrubbery around it.
The campus’ beauty has not gone unnoticed. Many ads and films have featured the university as a backdrop, including the TV series “Sun City.”
