Here is how Tylan Wallace has risen through the ranks over the years in the NFL, ranging from his time in high school and college.

Early Life

Tylan Wallace was born in 1999 on May 13 in Fort Worth, Texas, and enrolled at the South Hills High School. There, he recorded 182 receptions for 3,760 yards and 48 touchdowns.

Wallace was fueled by his passion to compete in the NFL in his future, and featured in football just like his twin brother Tracin in University.

In College back in 2017 as a freshman, Wallace appeared in 13 games, clinching seven receptions for 118 yards, an impressive feat for an 18-year-old who still had a lot to prove.

He continued to improve on his overall game and soon came the breakthrough year into professional level.

Professional Level and Exploits

In 2021, Tylan Wallace was selected as the 131st overall pick in the NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens and was handed a four-year rookie contract right before the summer.

The now 25-year-old was often deployed by the Ravens on special teams in that year and started one game where he went on to record a catch for 18 yards in a 21-41 loss at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals.

A year on in December 2022, Wallace was kept on injured reverse and was later activated in January 2023.

However, an unexpected hamstring injury stood in his way and had him placed on injured reserve again, few days on in the same month.

Wallace’s career looked a series of injuries between 2022 and 2023 as he was activated on October 28.

Nonetheless, the light was sure to come. In December 2023, he came on for an injured Devin Duvernay and run back an impressive 76 yards to grab the touchdown that won the game in overtime to edge the Los Angeles Rams in a stunning win.

That victory was a crucial one not only for the Baltimore Ravens, but particularly for Tylan Wallace as the match recorded his first career touchdown.

The 25-year-old had not been featuring in games for a while due to injury. However, his exploits against the Los Angeles Rams helped him to be in the headlines and heavily contributed to where he stands today as one of the young talented wide receivers in the NFL.

Wallace’s first career touchdown and efforts that year earned him the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, and he has since looked forward to achieving more.

In Tylan Wallace’s uprising career, he has also clinched a good set of accolades in his locker which indicate that he could become one of the world’s biggest NFL stars.

Here is a list of awards and achievements by the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver.

◦ 2018 First-team All-American.
◦ 2020 Second-team All-American.
◦ Two-time First-team All-Big 12 in 2018 and 2020.
◦ 2019 Second-team All-Big 12.

In appearing in games for the Baltimore Ravens, Wallace has steadily progressed since his 2021 NFL draft.

As of 2023, he clinched 35 receptions for 406 yards and 3 touchdowns, yet chose to get far from comfortable.

Tylan Wallace is known for his reliable hands and deep-threat potential and has averaged 11.6 yards per catch, contributing as a solid secondary option in the Ravens’ passing attack, as per ESPN stats.

Also, there’s a good bit of versatility in his game. Although Tylan Wallace is an offensive asset, he offers his team even more by contributing to both attack and defense.

Wallace’s career is one that looks set to continue to improve by the day though he has about a decade of top-level football ahead of him and can only improve.
