In a matter of months, Kevin Ford evolved from being depressed to thriving. How? The internet came through for him. Ford first went viral in 2022 after receiving an unimpressive “goodie bag” in appreciation for 27 years of work without being absent. His daughter started a GoFundMe page for him after his story went viral.
Earlier in the year, he revealed to TMZ that he received almost $350,000 from the crowdsourcing fund, of which GoFundMe kept a sizable portion. He spent roughly half of the money to pay $177,000 for a property in Pahrump, Nevada.
The property has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is 846 square feet in size, with a covered front terrace, fenced-in yard, and views of the surrounding mountains, and he plans to invest more money in it as well.

He revealed to the network at the time that he had saved the majority of his GoFundMe money for retirement and had given his daughter a portion of it so she could use it to buy a house for herself and his grandchildren.
But it appears that he has figured out a retirement strategy because he just revealed to TMZ that he has saved up enough cash to start a food truck.
For roughly $20,000, he bought the food truck, which is fully furnished with an oven, fryer, and other appliances. He intends to operate it with his daughter, who has received training from Le Cordon Bleu.
He also plans to begin by selling foods he is familiar with, such as hamburgers and hot dogs, before attempting to incorporate Filipino meals into his truck as a compliment to his Filipina fiancée.
Once he begins to turn a profit with his truck, which he has nicknamed “K27Y” in honor of his viral recognition, Ford, who is still employed at Burger King, would want to leave the company by May of next year after thirty years of service.
