Angelica May experienced a series of mind-blowing events in one day. The 27-year-old North Carolina woman accepted her high school sweetheart’s marriage proposal after overcoming cancer.

After finishing her final chemotherapy treatment for stage-two triple-negative breast cancer, May was seen leaving the Novant Health Zimmer Cancer Institute in Wilmington and entering the corridor in a TikTok video.

She smiled and raised a certificate of completion as she rang the bell. Several people captured the moment, as many employees stood by in support.

According to Fox10, as May got ready to turn a corner, someone asked her if she was ready and if she “got this?”

She responded “yes,” but she was shocked to see her boyfriend, Imeek Watkins, standing at the end of a red carpet surrounded by even more people.

May covered her face in disbelief, bursting into tears as she realized the significance of the occasion.

“You did it! You did it, beautiful!” several loved ones call out to her, clapping and handing her roses, as she walks towards her boyfriend.

Watkins hugged her and told her he had gotten her ten roses to represent the ten years of their relationship.

Then he played a video message from their young niece congratulating them, in which the niece said that her uncle wanted to know if she would marry him.

Fans cheered for them as Watkins started his proposal by telling her how proud he was of her.

May eventually said yes, to a thunderous roar of applause, and flashed her ring.

May told Storyful, “He had my whole medical team on board with his planning and they were crying happy tears.”

May later uploaded the video and said that she would always treasure March 20, 2024.
