When it comes to fashion weeks held on African soil, South Africa and Nigeria take the prize for the most established shows with Joburg Fashion Week, Capetown Fashion week, and Arise Magazine Fashion Week. Countries like Mozambique and Angola have recently held their own fashion weeks and Zambia also stepped into the African Fashion Week light with Zambia Fashion Week which was held from April 28-30 in Lusaka, Zambia, and has actually been around for a few years.
Designers that showcased included Katongo Chileshe, George Siyumbelo, Mutumba Creations, Monde Ndana, Mushamba and more. Here are a few pictures from the event.
