Browns’ wide receiver David Bell, on Sunday, scored a double victory. He left the game against the Colts not only with a win but also with a brand-new addition to his family.

Bell’s cousin gave birth at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis during the Browns-Colts game. Medics from IU Health stepped in to assist in delivering Tylan Jones’ baby girl, Kimmarie, right inside the NFL stadium, as reported by NBC affiliate WTHR in Indianapolis.

Jones was one of almost 300 friends and family present to witness Bell’s return but went into labor when the game was about to start. Bell, a native of Indianapolis and a former Purdue University college football player, was making a homecoming appearance for the Browns.

Jones, reflecting on the incident, said she had a talk with her baby, telling her not to arrive on that particular day. Despite her due date being October 26, Jones unexpectedly went into labor while entering the stadium, as revealed by Bell’s mother, Kareem Butler. Medical assistance was sought when they entered the stadium, and the baby was delivered at 1:20 p.m., just about 20 minutes after the game began.

Bell’s family has begun making reference to baby Kimmarie as the Lucas Oil baby. The Capital Improvement Board, responsible for Lucas Oil Stadium, conveyed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the family, celebrating the remarkable birth within the stadium.

Bell’s cousin, who is now a mother of three, revealed that Bell was equally shocked by the unexpected birth during his game. She quipped that he was happy about the unique and surprising turn of events.
