Earlier this month, at a school board meeting, Rikki Blaylock received recognition for her 13 years of attendance at Orange Park School, during which she never missed a day of class.
From kindergarten through her senior year of high school, the Florida student, who recently graduated from Ridgeview High School, maintained perfect attendance.
“Congratulations to Class of 2024 Rikki Blaylock for her recognition at last night’s School Board meeting. Rikki was Awarded Perfect Attendance for kindergarten to her senior year; truly a phenomenal feat!” Ridgeview High School wrote in a Facebook post.
“Her dedication and commitment to her learning is inspirational! “#PanthersRISE.” the institution continued.
Blaylock was given a certificate for “Outstanding Attendance” by Superintendent David Broskie at the Clay County School Board meeting. According to the Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) website, the teenager is also a recognized athlete who participated in volleyball, soccer, and track.
Her high school’s athletic department posted on Facebook that she holds the school record for the javelin throw and was chosen Athlete of the Week in April for the same sport.
The remarkable teen also contributed to the school’s athletic programs by photographing various sporting events, according to the group.
Ridgeview Panthers Athletics acknowledged her on social media with the caption, “Congratulations to our student-athlete, Rikki Blaylock, for being awarded perfect attendance from K-12 at last night’s school board meeting! Your dedication and commitment are truly inspiring.”
