Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George has made it clear he does not like journalists being allowed in NBA locker rooms and is calling for that practice to be banned because it invades their privacy. The 34-year-old also claimed he had seen a reporter staring at players’ penises while in the locker room.
Per TMZ, George touched on the issue this week on his Podcast P with Paul George. His comments about that practice come after NFL players also called for the cancellation of locker room interviews because of privacy concerns. George said he was in support of that.
The NBA star noted that though he has a plethora of concerns about the media being allowed in locker rooms, one of the things that irks him about that practice is how some journalists have allegedly stared at his private parts and those of his teammates while they were in that area for interview engagements.

“I would say majority of the locker room, bro, they’re naked [when reporters come in],” George said. “Like, we’re in towels. We’re naked. We just got out the shower. And then you have these reporters in there and, like, they’re not staring at a wall, you know what I mean? They’re looking at us.”
George also singled out a Washington reporter who was notorious for staring at “dudes’ meat while they’re in towels or while they’re changing.” Besides that, he additionally said several journalists listen to private conversations that players are having, resulting in the circulation of unsubstantiated rumors and reports.
“I just think it’s just our place of privacy,” the 34-year-old said. “It should be treated as that,” he added before saying, “It shouldn’t be nobody in that space.”
Despite the concerns, it is unclear if the NBA or NFL will change their locker room policies for the media.
