Ciara may have her hands busy with nurturing four children, but the 39-year-old award-winning singer said she’s still open to welcoming more bundles of joy with her husband Russell Wilson.
The Goodies singer touched on the possibility of having more children with her NFL hubby during an interview with PEOPLE at the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala over the weekend. She, however, jokingly said her children are currently a handful.
“Oh my gosh, it is turned up. I have a kid on every corner,” she said. “Oh my Lord, pray for me sometimes.”
Ciara, however, said she can “make it to five” despite having to handle four children at the moment. “Russ keeps walking around going like this, like, ‘Cinco.’ And I’m like, ‘High five, I love you too,’” the Grammy winner said. “I mean, listen, I think we’ll make it to five, but this mom needs a little time. Just a little bit.”
Ciara shares two daughters (Sienna, 7, and Amora, 10 months) and a son (Win, 4) with Wilson. She also shares her first son, Future, 10, with rapper Future.
Ciara touching on having another child with Wilson comes after the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback jokingly said he was ready to welcome baby number five with his wife in a comment on her Instagram page.
“I’m ready when you are,” he wrote. “We can call him Cinco.”
As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Ciara and Wilson, 35, welcomed their third child, Amora, in December 2023. The couple made that announcement in a post on Instagram. “We Love You so much!” the couple wrote alongside a photo of Amora.
Speaking about motherhood and how it has transformed her, Ciara told W magazine in 2018, “It’s changed me for the better. It’s made me not sweat the small stuff. I think [being a mom] gives you more compassion in life, and more love in your heart….
“There’s nothing sweeter than putting a smile on your kid’s face; there’s nothing sweeter than putting a smile on another kid’s face.”
